I reread Tales of Megacity-0 and Battle of Megacity-0, and it got me thinking i could have expanded on the Racism towards the Non-Awakened.
In the Beast Heroes universe, some humans awaken the power to transform into beastial form, similar to the characters in the fighting game "Bloody Roar" but not all of them can awaken this power, those that cannot Awaken are seen as trash, and are abused and treated as such.
Non-Awakened children are often the subject of bullying and lynching, while hard working Non-Awakened adults often lose their jobs to those have awakened, and even if they were hired, they would most likely be abused by Awakened bosses or co-workers.
Some Non-Awakened females would even be the subject sexual assualt, because some Awakened are unable to control their animal urges, and the perpetrators would be let with a slap on the wrist, either by being a member of a well known Guild, or be from a well conneced family.
So, what do you guys think? Did I go too hard on the prejudice, or could i have gone even further?
