As you all have known, the imperium of man is a pretty religous place, the esclarsiaccy and sister of battle is an examble but one faction puzzle me, the black templar. Does the black templar astartes count as priest or some sort of paladin ? As far as i know, they do practice in worshiping E-man as a god, last time i check paladin are supose to have some magic spell but the only one that can use magic is psyker to which they all ban, do they have a bible of him ? Do they preach about him ? Stuf that may decide that they are priest or paladin.

As for the “Bible” there is none of that on 40k, but there are clear parallels between the Imperium of Man and Catholicism which had influence from paganism to which the belief system changed away from the original belief.

In the War against Chaos the birth of the chaos gods are said to be sue to mortals and their anger. The Emperor who created all the dogma and systems of the imperium before becoming a psyker monument requiring the sacrifice of 10,000 psykers a day was said to be an atheist who believed he could win against chaos and the Xenos by violence, and his shielding is simply to prevent the imperium from being swept away from the chaos that well, they’re creating through their hate and dogma.

It’s quite ironic but thats also why the imperium aren’t the good guys.

It’s not so much a religious belief in a higher power but the worship of the emperor and the constant fear of chaos corruption like the chaos marines.

Also if I remember correctly, the Emperor himself is an atheist.

Lorgar wrote a book that worships the Emperor. His book was the basis for the Ecclesiarch and their new religion.

Aw fuck yeaH. Maybe i misjudged Warhammer, i thought it was just space marines doing wild shit, but they got TEMPLARS ? Aight, that new Warhammer game might be worth putting on my wishlist
Well, they are space marines, AND they are templars at the same time. And it's not just one such army. There are two, Grey Knights and Black Templars. Grey Knights fight demons and can do magic and are more knightly\chivalrous, but only because Black Templars embody crusaders. They will kill whole worlds if they don't accept the rule of the Imperium. There are also combinations of vikings(and furries)+space marines, steppe(mostly Mongolian) warriors+space marines, and kinda romans+space marines.

If you are really interested or got nothing else to do, I advise you to watch or listen to some of the Majorkill videos. I'm not sure, but I think you will like his style.
You Me Major bros ?
