Appreciation for SH

Hi all newbie writer here. Just wanted to show my appreciation for all the wonderful support and kind people on this site.

I never knew this site existed until last minute before planning to post my story up on RRL and webnovel. Little did I know that my story was going to be received so much better on this site compared to the others.

Don't get me wrong I'm not throwing hate on the other two sites..., though maybe just webnovel. I ended up getting the most toxic responses from there and decided to stop uploading anymore posts, letting my readers know they could continue on any of the other two sites.

In addition to the amazing support so far, I'm beyond estatic to have my very first patron. I apologize for the rant and if this kind of post isn't welcome here. Anyways back to the daily grind!

SH peeps are very kind and it's a good starting place. It does not mean people do not criticize or point out mistakes or their dislikes, but the majority is here to enjoy what the authors bring. And yeah, when compared to RR or WN, the community is vastly different, hah. Good luck with your stories here.

I can completely agree!! I did get somewhat nice reviews on RR aswell but overall SH comunity has been alot more nice to me compared to RR.

So i understand you completely! Keep on writing mate and good luck but also have fun!

SH is still new, so it could still evolve to a more toxic direction in the future as toxic people come and become the new majority. There is already a few who seems to be acting that way but they're still the very small minority. Ai-chan will not give out names. If you're in the forum often, you will know who.

Anyway, the admin ( @Tony ) has been doing pretty well filtering out the toxicity so far. Props also to the crowd in this forum for observing good conduct and not considering that toxicity equals free speech. Let's hope it stays this way and toxic elements are driven out as soon as they appear. Though one would argue that's it's difficult to put a label on what counts as toxicity as it could be that the person is just giving his opinion, regardless of however much of an asshole he's being.

Still, Ai-chan wishes that people here would leave feedbacks more. Even a simple "Thank you" or "I want to read more!" is good enough for Ai-chan. Heck, Ai-chan would even take criticisms, as long as the person giving it actually reads the story instead of "This story sucks. You're a horrible writer. Rot in hell." Or that random Andur-fan asshole who comes and then commented, "This story sucks. Andur writes much better."

Agree 100%! I don't mean to take any shots, but before I found this site, I was thinking of posting my novel on RR. There's a tendency for GB novels over there to have disclaimers in their synopses like, "I know people are worried about the Gender Bender tag, but please try it, it's not that bad..."

Here people are like, "male MC gets turned into a horny succubus slave on chapter 1? I'm in."

Yeah this site has been very kind to me so far. Started at RR, deleted what I had of my novel, came over here and reuploaded some after I edited and planned my story more. Still upload to RR. Overall, experience here has been great. Constructive criticism has been helpful and the readers balance it with kind words.
RR has some good, decent people, but I still get those unhelpful and tactless PMs every so often. :(
I consider this my main home now.

I agree SH is better than the other based on my experience. My readers here in SH is the most active, every time I posted a chapter, they will always comment. RR is good too but webonvel... Dude, I posted almosts hundred chapters there but nobody ever said 'thanks for the chapter' or such, though they gave me power stones so it's fine. Still, For me, SH is the warmest.
