You play in first person, kind of like Mist or Riven. The game lore is that other dimensions were discovered based on the thoughts of humans on earth, if I remember correctly. So there's dimensions for cartoon shows, for instance, or various movies, or just straight up odd stuff.
You are a wannabe music producer. You get in a personal rocketship with multiple floors and blast off to the Distortion Dimension, where you get footage for music videos, make and sell said music videos to producers you call with your fold-out "brick phone", fight Guitar Warriors with the soundwaves from your own personal guitar weapon, and gradually work further and further into the dangerous Distortion Dimension for more footage for your videos.
You can win with a certain amount of fame, or money, or both. There's a lot of mini games too. You have to sleep and eat, and you have a kitchen that basically pukes out your sandwich to your specifications. It's a specific sort of noise.
Anyway I love this game and no one knows it.
