So, I'm an author who just created a Discord server two days ago. Five people have joined so far, but things are mostly quiet inside the server. Any suggestions on making things more lively in there?

well, you have 2 options

1. be a schizophrenic and start treating your discord server like a personal twitter machine. just post there, and once in a blue moon, someone will respond. use that opportunity and strike up a conversation.

It's quite normal. That's what you do when you read, after all. You create multiple voices inside your head which talk to each other.

Now that I think about it, reading is quite depressing.
