Any advice on changing my tags?

My story is being related to filthy smut stories, while similar they are far different in writing.
Mine is more a mature smut. I would rather be related to more mature stories like my own.

Remove the Ecchi genre. Add the Psychological genre. Modify the story so it conforms to the new genres(or suffer when you get review bombed).

Your synopsis reads like 'filthy smut'. Changing that won't help, but I don't see a set of tags that will both describe your story, and distinguish it from anything else. Either you've misrepresented yourself, or you're overvaluing yourself compared to others.

The other option is to find a story that you DO think yours is similar to, and copy those tags (once again, making sure you actually have the content to back it up).

All I got to say is all smut is smut and with the tags you're using you'd obviously be related to the so call "filthy smut" yo if those smut top stories without bad reviews I see no reason to refer to them as such.

If you don't want your story to be related just don't write smut. This is a smut based site afterall so I don't know what you'd espect. Because there's no genre like mature smut and filthy smut

In my experience writing smut on here and occasionally checking stats, a pretty small percentage of my views come from people clicking in from other smut stories, rather than clicking in from tags / front page / etc.

Because of this, I theorize what you get associated with doesn't have all that much effect on how people find your work, so I wouldn't worry about it too much.

For whatever it's worth, your Saintess of Blood and Sacrifice series is (as time of writing) one of the two series recommended on my series Their Pet Next Door, which I think of as relatively mature in some ways, if also... well, I don't actually think of lewd stuff as filthy except like, literal filth kink stuff, but if I did, it'd absolutely also count as filthy.

Its like plot with gratuitous sex scenes every 4-5 chapters, rather than the full on smut these other stories have. Is that even smut though, or like R-18 + Mature?

Yeah, other than “filthy one-shots” collections which are just one smutty story after another. Smut every chapter in the same story is just too exhausting. Exhausting for the writer and the reader. And the characters. The closest you can get is smut, then ecchi to take a breather, do some world-building with a ridiculous sex-based fantasy world, then back to smut. And that’s three different tags right there: Smut Fantasy Ecchi.

Really what differentiates is not the Smut tag but what other tags are there to water down the Smut with other flavors.

If your story doesn't have smut every five to ten chaps I see no reason to tag it as smut. Like maybe every 20 chaps smut then I don't see the need for such a tag

Hate to say it, but you're out of luck then. Best to just accept the "filthy smut" moniker like all the other smut writers on the site. If you don't want to be associated with those types of stories, you could always just write a non-smut story. As it stands, as someone else says, your story's description and especially some of the tags screams "this is a smut story," and because of that, your story will likely be labeled as "filthy smut" whether you like it or not.

Yeah I mean it is smut at the end of the day, even if it has more plot than some others.
Its not so bad I guess, at least I will get people willing to read it.
Plus there's always another story, would rather finish this one first though or ill be writing half stories forever lol.
