Sorry but 1 dollar for 1000 words is just slave labor , its so cheap its technically free, sorry but no
Well it depends of how fast you write. :P
Typically, professional typists type at speeds of 43 to 80 wpm, while some positions can require 80 to 95 (usually the minimum required for dispatch positions and other time-sensitive typing jobs), and some advanced typists work at speeds above 120 wpm.
Assuming that for simplicity you write at 50 wpm. You would need to work 20 minutes for that dollar.
But you are not just typing. You have to first think of what to type down. Do research, especially if it is a sifi setting. Check it with clients script. Than check the grammar that can take considerable amount of time if you are dyslexic. Than proof read and correct. And lastly format the text. Count to that bathroom breaks. And time you have to spent on contact with your client so you know what client wants.
We can look at real writing time (not just typing) of about 5 wpm or less.
So to get that one dollar you would have to work for 3hours 20 minutes!
Even with your rate of 4 dollars for 500 words you have to work for 1 hour 40 minutes to get those 4 dollars.
That is way beneath minimal wage.
You will make more money by selling lemonade or washing cars or just simply begging. (last one requires acting skills)
Unless you do not treat it as a source of income, or live in some third world country where you can live the whole day for one dollar it is not worth it.
If you treat this as a writing exercise and price is just to filter out only serious orders. That can be nice hobby.
I personally would not do it especially for that price.
But I could see myself collaborating with a like minded author or one that is total opposite of me but we can benefit from our differences.
