I’ll go first. I got a message from a random person on discord saying they liked my Novel, and that they got my user from a friend. The way they acted made it feel weird. The thing is.. when I came back to school and my headmaster gave me a weird look, it clicked. A) the person’s username was the same as the Head’s, and B) She’d always mentioned reading as something you needed to do.
Well, what are yours?

I considered dropping a certain novel a while ago. I complained a lot about how terrible it was in the earlier chapters. I did drop it, but came back to it after a few months or so out of boredom. Now it's my favorite novel.

I wrote a smut chapter, hoping to get some views from it. It ended up very badly and became my worst and most embarrassing chapter ever written.
It’s okay to be inexperienced, you gotta read smut to write smut.

That's actually pretty cool. I'd love to have students/teachers who have read my work and vice-versa. Adds a new layer of interaction and friendship.

As for embarrassing moment, I don't think I have any in particular, sorry. Probably one of those blatant spelling/grammar mistakes that were left unchecked and unfixed for ages until a commenter pointed them out to me.

nothing is more embarrassing than recommending a friend your webnovel to read then a day or two later you realize you've written too far into your series and your beginning was complete ass compared to your current work but by the time you get to meet your friend again they've already read the utter shit the "you" from 2 years ago had put out so now you got to sit with the fact forever

Well, it's not "bad" in a ridiculous way, maybe. I just tried way too hard.
Actually wasn’t bad. You put in a bit too much purple prose but a lot better than some I’ve read.

Pretty tame to be honest, but I doubt your readers are into smut like the ones that put my novel on their list.

I’ll add it to my plan to read list.
I feel like all us smut writers should collaborate on a short work or something.
i personally feel like that's a recipe for surefire disaster but if we have a framework or treat it as an anthology, that might work

The whole point is that it is a chaotic disaster which is why a small short work would be ideal. ?
