Aethara: The King's Path (Series)
It's been about a week since the first chapter was released, and a little longer since the Prelude (where the story begins) and there's been a few folks who've read so far. It's been over a month since the proof of concept was released.
With chapter 2 slated for release at the end of the month, and nobody complaining about stuff in the comments or the chapter 1 discussion threads, I can only assume that I'm doing something right; even though the synopsis may feel a bit lacking at present. Normally I'd write something like a synopsis up after having finished the story.
That said, I can handle critiques and encourage open discussion.
If you liked something, great. Tell me all about it, and why.
If you didn't like something, great. Tell me all about it, and why.
If you've got a favorite character so far, great. I want to know who, and why.
If you've got a least-favorite character, or one you hate, great. I want to know who, and why.
Have questions about the story? Ask.
About the world? Ask.
About the characters? Ask.
About the ships? Ask. (By this, for those who may not know, I do mean the romantic pairings.)

For clarity's sake, here's a little breakdown of what you can expect from me with my series.
- 1 Volume - Consists of approximately 20 to 30 full-length chapters. (Typically around 4-5 story arcs) [100k - 150k words in length on average]
- 1 Story Arc - Consists of approximately 5 - 6 full-length chapters. (Around 25k - 30k words in length)
- Each Story Arc is preceded by a Prelude or an Interlude, depending on where it is in the volume that sets the overall tone, and gives insight into a character's inner-world.
- On New Arc Releases you will not have to wait another month between Prelude/Interlude and Chapter Release.. (So when Chapter 6 ends, you will get both the first Interlude, and Chapter 7 the following month)
- Polls will be included to let you (the readers) vote for a number of things, including which character's perspective conveys the following Interlude/Prelude.
- Zero Censorship or Avoidance of sensitive content, or topics. (Yes, I will be including graphic depictions of sexual content and violence when it is relevant to the story. Nothing will be excluded, overlooked, or avoided, no matter what).
- Regular updates (Weekly and Daily when possible) and engagement (comments, replies, etc).
- Scheduled Monthly Releases - One Chapter per Month average. I have my reasons for this, and it is primarily related to quality control, chapter length, and offline life.
- Bonus (Non-Story) Fan-Friendly Content - IE: A surprise bonus planned for release around the holidays this year.
