While I completely understand the reason of not having a down vote feature applicable to the forums, there are many sections here where authors give advice and readers discuss topics that are easily debatable. Sometimes people just give outright rude or sarcastic comments that aren't really reportable since they aren't harassing another user, not to mention the comments that offer horrible advice. Everyone is entitled to their own opinion, but it would easier to show a reception of which responses were found to be helpful and others that were downright useless or unhelpful without having to write a response that could cause a long string of responses revolving around a dispute that was misunderstood, causing a huge drama to occur when a person could just push a simple down vote. Lots of forum sites use this feature and it's popular on many social media sites, so I was curious to why SH does not have it.

You could like something with an angry emoji. I mean, I imagine it would be easy to add a thumbs down image along with the thumbs up one.

I'm not really for a down vote, as it's pretty abusable, but an established practice for bad advice and harmful posts would be nice. That's more of a community thing than a feature thing though. Presuming it doesn't get abused either.
