I want to see a young impressionable person, maybe edgy goth teen, wanting to be "evil", so they (try to) join an actually "evil" faction (like a supervillain) and the actual villain sees them and is like "yeah, this kid has no idea what they're doing I should send them home" and politely sends them away or teaches a non-dangerous lesson that is meant to set them straight and not follow the villain, showing an understanding that the villain's way is not the "good" way, but they won't mislead people into following it.

I've seen it in some movies where an edgy teen tries to take after a gangster (can't remember specifics). I kind of want to see some of it in a novel.

Renegade Immortal maybe? Or maybe The Evil Organization’s Recruitment Ad. But it's kinda bad and the kid end up rejoining the evil faction after leaving anyway.

Industrial strength magic is sorta like that?

The MC wants to be a hero but his superpowers are a bit more fitting for a villain. Also, his dad is a villain and his mom a super hero. The whole thing is kinda a joke where the conflicts are more for propaganda than anything.

Warning: Macronomicon's stories tend to be really technical and eventually get a little bit too esoteric to follow easily.

Okay wow damn, way to get soooo close into one of the slow burning themes of my book but then divert away due to technical minutiae and I cant even explain what those minutiae are because spoilers I haven't written those chapters yet.

Like, I almost could have written that plotline you described. (or more accurately have it planned because again not yet written) But there are some subtly different things I have going on so I won't self promote. Not to mention the book hasn't gotten there yet and probably won't for another half a year/20 chapters released weekly.
