Basically the male lead tries to leave instead only for the female to get all dark n stuff. An example of a normal "dark male to trying-to-leave-female lead" would be "No More Regrets, Just K*ll Me" and I Will Disappear, Grand Duke.
What are European tragic obsessive novels?
I am still confused, maybe you mean 17th century European fantasy setting ... It is something I notice a lot in Asian works, as they confuse time periods.
