I like to call this Character Dynamic, The Prideful Sun and The Lonely Moon, basically it works like this:

The sun is full of pride as it is shining when the most people are awake, and its light overshadows its companion the moon, due to this the moon, who shines only when the world is asleep, feels lonely. That is until one day the moon meets an insomniac(Or whatever character fits this role) and they become great friends. The sun seeing how its companion is just as loved as it, slowly mellows out and becomes less prideful, eventually recognizing that both the moon and sun are important to the people of their world.

This character dynamic is defined by a Prideful Secondary Main Character, a Quiet Main Character, and a Kind Love Interest/Family Member/Companion Character/Tertiary Main Character, and I love it cause it just make me happy that all the characters get some kind of happy ending.

What are some Character Dynamics you Like, and do you know any novels with the character dynamic I just explained?

I like Maximum No Chill but Very Chill characters. Usually they are the chillest character around, someone always relaxed. But when shit hit the fan, they are the most brutal and merciless person. I.e Pyo Wol from Reaper of Drifting Moon, Gojo from jjk.

Sounds like Saitama from One Punch. literally, hiw whole life is just "Meh. nothing bothers me." then there's this super powerful "I will destroy the entire galaxy" bad guy. then Saitama goes full badass until he realizes they're still powerless compared to him, so he goes back to "Guess I'll save the world..."

the prideful one is the insomniac who imagined the celestial bodies cater to people.

As for me, I don't have any preferences that I know on that front
a freak and someone who's obsessed with them
but I'm a freak
I'm a weirdo, oh
What the hell am I doing here
I don't belong here

But Saitama doesn't slowly tear his enemy in two, just giving them a quick ONE PUUUUUNCHHH and end it there. He is definitely No Chill, but not Maximum No Chill.

This is like the relationship between Nephis and Sunny from Shadow Slave, or at least I think it is.

They are not really characters, and I don't really like this small story about the sun and moon, I prefer this one :

How the Sun loved the Moon so much, he died every night to let her breathe…
The Sun was a god of sorts. His light was so powerful it actually brought herbs to life and grew goods from the ground. Everyone, every day, came out to worship him.
The Moon was seen as a darkness. One that brought a cold presence to the world. Everyone hid in their homes when she rose.
The Moon craved to be seen. She wanted a breath of fresh air up in the midnight sky. She wanted to be loved.
Yet everyone admired the Sun. They sensed the warmth of his glow. They felt alive in his daylight.
But the Sun had a secret: he admired the Moon. He recognized her secrecy and fell for the way she was timid with herself. She hid parts of herself from the world that he knew the world would embrace.
They were opposite souls, the Sun and Moon. They were lovers who rarely met and always missed one another. Yet they both waited patiently for the rare days when they might coexist peacefully.
The Sun wanted to make his true love happy in his absence. He wanted to show the world what she had to offer.
He thought for weeks about how to give her the breath of air she wanted, leaving the world in a cloudy haze.
Finally he knew what he had to be done.
He sacrificed his light every night to shine on the Moon so she could be seen in all her beauty.
He gave up something he was admired for to let her shine.
For a character, I like how Tang Wulin are writed in Soul Land 3 and his dynamic with Gu Yuena.

It is just what I call the character dynamic, and you can like what you like, and the story was just to explain the character dynamic. also you spelt wrote wrong so :p Jk i'm not that petty.

~My Little Pony, my little pony, ah ah ah ahhh~ I too really love this character dynamic in, you guessed it, the My Little Pony show. Or at least the show’s background lore that started the main conflict for the first season bore marked similarities, albeitnot wholly identical, to the character dynamic you mentioned. Mune is a movie that also has that dynamic. Notably, both uses literal Sun and Moon references and contrast.
One of my favorite character dynamics is the mad scientist MC progression. They rapidly grow in zany technologies and crush their enemies while wildly laughing. Bwahahahahahaha!!!

My brothers and I once made a parody of the MLP friendship is magic theme song, it was called My Little Machinegun. Sadly we lost the google doc, all I remember is that the last line was: "and the click makes it all complete!" Good times.

My favorite character dynamic is what I'd like to call the "free-for-all machinegun banter" where everyone hits each other with their best. Normally there's a clear recipient for banter, but in this constellation, nobody is safe and alliances can be betrayed in the blink of an eye.

Also the "bickering couple" where two characters are constantly at each other's throats and nobody knows if they'd start going down each other or going down killing each other. Especially if it's a power couple or characters competent enough to get the job done bickering.
