Pretty much the entire draw is early chapters. Even if they end up staying on just to support you (by telling themselves they'll binge later or something) their first sign up is almost always for early chapters or other exclusive/temporarily exclusive content. It's like, people might not mind...

I think it also depends on chapter frequency, amount of dialog, etc.

I usually come up with the main idea first (characters, settings, themes), think of an overarching plot or a few arcs, and always, always decide an ending before I start writing. Trust me, you're much more likely to finish if you have an ending you're working towards!

I upload daily, so 1 shouldn't matter. Pretty sure I'm not on trending and my title doesn't appear on NU either, so yeah, probably 3, but still really weird lol. Like, sometimes my new readers won't change but I'll fluctuate up or down significantly. At this point I mostly ignore all metrics, tbh.

I mean, i'm not checking it enough to make a difference. Single digit fluctuations wouldn't be a problem, anyway, the problem is when it fluctuates in the hundreds

Honestly, what bums me out are irregular numbers. I wouldn't mind relatively consistently increasing or decreasing numbers, because that would at least give me some idea of the popularity/lack of popularity of my story, but with numbers just kinda all over the place, I have no idea what to think!
