In my experience, in the beginning of your story there will be hardly any comments. Maybe because readers find the first arc predictable or expected, but once you write more and get deeper into the story, readers will start to comment and input their opinion on events or even their predication...

Often times before the rise of cultivation there are "gods" that are formed in the primordial Era such as the Three Purities. Daode Tianzun is said to teach all livings things. Also some immortals are just born or their are creatures born as powerful creatures. So the cultivation is an emulation...

At that point in the story there can only be side stories or a new story about a new MC starting his cultivation path.

I would continue to write your story but devote some of your time to refining your earlier chapters. If your pace slows down, tell the readers that you are reworking the earlier chapters so that quality will be consistent.

If I published my own book I would totally buy it, so I can put it on my bookshelf and boost my ego. I probably wouldn’t want my friends IRL to ask if I wrote that. I’m pretty shy about these stuff IRL.

If you hate the novel so much that you would give a one star, you might as well give a review on why it deserves one star. I personally would very much like to hear the reason why a (or my) story deserves a one star rather than just “because” Suddenly my story get 5 reviews, all 1 stars.

Hello as a long time xianxia fan (also currently writing my own as of right now) I want to see what the reader community looks for in a Xianxia Novel For me I have several -Wholesome relationship: When the main pairing is just two people and there aren't any stupid cliche misunderstandings...

So I spent the whole day writing nothing because I was because with drawing this. Also I realized why people don't draw multiple horns on a single head. It doesn't work well.

I think that's natural. When I first started writing (fanfiction) the chapters were quite short in comparison to what I write today. As you get write more and more so does the length of your chapters, at least in my opinion.

I want to see what the reader’s preferred chapter lengths are and why. Mostly for research to understand the reader base of the SH community.
