I write and read them, though I don't actively seek out the genre/tag when searching stories even when I may have it selected.

Reading Yellow Typhoon makes me smile and reading the mostly finished first draft chapters of its sequel gets me hyped. :cool:

It's not word count which bothers me; it's a non-issue. What does make me struggle is giving a scene the full justice it deserves. Like its flow, or character interactions and just making things believable and not forced. Just making the emotional tone just right, not too cheesy and not too long...

I think what you're asking for is third person omniscient, but you don't have to focus on their thoughts if you don't want to.
