    I would hate that. So much. Sexual assault is not something I like to read... but I still can read it. But for the character to end up an ally after it? For there to be no lasting consequences for rape? I, personally, abhor that.

    Oh don't worry about that. I am very much the exception... But I want to recommend aiming for 2000 words per chapter? At minimum it should be (in what I've seen) above 1500 if you want readers.
