what would be the point of light if there were no darkness? Light is what reveals darkness to us, just as darkness reveals light to us. We need to embrace the comfort of darkness to understand the cruelty of light.

Darkness is only the absence of light, nothing more. If there's no light in your room, it's dark, if there's no light in your soul, it's dark, if there's no light in a black hole, it's dark. The black hole absorbs all the light and doesn't let anything escape, that's why it's dark.

Do I really need to explain what darkness is?
