Question for all authors here. I know everyone obsesses over the stats of their stories. For those that have done this a while here on this platform - what are some major milestones/metrics that you track to see how you are doing?

I've written a few short stories (for contests, based on the Mahabharatha - Indian epic etc.) Do people usually read stuff like that here? I haven't seen any short stories on this site (or is it just me not looking hard enough?).
