    I think 1.5k - 4k words is the optimal size for a chapter (for a webnovel). But no one is stopping you from posting a 10k+ chapter.

    People do sacrifices for what they deem worth dying for. You have to put something she holds dear in a grave danger and force her to make a decision. If there are no stakes, if there is no internal-personal conflict, its fake.

    Why aren't people using quotes and dialogue tags?

    Yeaaah, i kinda did this. I constantly used - to designate the dialogue because in my native language it is used this way in literature. now i feel stupid because i subconsciously assumed it is the same in English as well :D At least its not a big deal to fix this.
