    Yeh. I gave public, constructive feedback listing all problems and how to fix them three times. Two authors left, one started abusing The Butler to do the work for him. Big sad. Since then, I only provide feedback to the novels I actively work on as editor.

    We too use it for other things than dialogue. But anyway, it's hard to discern AI writing solely from it, and there are many better variables to rely on. Like repetitions, or "it's not X, it's Y" that AI likes to put everywhere. The em dashing can be just someone ignorant of how to use it, or...

    Doubtful. That would require active moderation of the main site, and there is basically none of it. Polish written dialogue. And we ain't the only ones in the EU who use it like this.

    Damn, I feel ya. Meanwhile, in my language, you use them all the time. Literally, dialogues look like this; — blah blah — said person 1 — blah blah blah? — Blah! Blah blah — disagreed person 2. — Nyaaaa! — acknowledged the cat, while dropping things from the table.

    Everything i write has em or em in it... does that mean i'm the AI? :( Something having em or em dashes in it doesn't automatically make it AI-generated. Overuse of those MIGHT imply it, but it is never a definitive mark. Never.
