Extra Paragraph Spaces Not Showing Up On Chapters Anymore

I’ll do a highlight next chance I get on the pc. Spaces at the end of a line sometime show up when I use editing programs as it wants to correct something at the end of the sentence. I use a mobile app for composition and I bring it over to the PC. I don’t know if that’s what’s causing the...

Extra Paragraph Spaces Not Showing Up On Chapters Anymore

No matter what device I use, PC or phone, Enter or Shift-Enter, there is no new spaces registered beyond a single space break. Google Chrome browser. I tested every possible entry method. I even use a plain text editor so there's no text issues. Still no extra spaces. Do spaces show up here...

Extra Paragraph Spaces Not Showing Up On Chapters Anymore

i’ll keep that in mind. It’s fine for now. It doesn’t affect me too much but there’s some stories I have where there’s empty space used dramatically as a pause or to structure poetry. Hopefully there’s some sort of remedy that can preserve the pagination.

Extra Paragraph Spaces Not Showing Up On Chapters Anymore

I used to be able to add extra paragraph spaces at the end of a chapter to provide some space between the text and the acknowledgements and create dramatic pauses. But that doesn't seem to work anymore. Edit - This also seems to retroactively affect all postings. There are no extra spaces anywhere.

What are the themes of your stories?

What is goodness and evil in a world so confused. The persistence of love in spite of so many challenges. The meaning of god in a spirit tangled multiverse. The obligation and depth of motherhood for those who didn’t give birth to those they care for. The meaning of manhood and masculinity for...

How bad a thing can a good person do?

This evokes a deep space nine episode for me, one of my favorites. The Duet. That was an incredible episode about skirting the line between good and evil. That series allowed good characters to do bad things but consequences followed. In the case of that episode the ending was tragically...

How long do you do your post from your works?

I’ve gravitated towards at least a minimum of 2000 words personally but it was kind of all over the place for a while from 1500 to 2500. I think 2000 words may be a little too much to post each time and especially I do mine every weekday, so five days a week. The main factor is you want to be...

What is the sickest or most horrifying thing you have written?

I long ago wrote a story that no longer exists which involved a violent psychopath who kidnapped an underage girl…and that’s all I can say about it.

Why so many gender bender novels

For myself as a writer of gender bending narratives primarily, I like to explore the existential possibilities. Often the physical transformation is wrapped up in a variety of internal questions. Who am I, what can I be, what’s important to me, and what are the different sides of me as a person...

How long does it take you to write a chapter?

Used to be much faster but now I'm slowing down due to later series complexity and cultural details. Also though I love dictating on my phone, it makes for a lot of necessary error correction. So it's around 500 to 1000 words an hour.

What's a small detail in your novel that you're unreasonably proud of?

Mine tend to be where I have a bunch of disparate elements and I don’t know how they’re gonna come together but then suddenly my music drops the truth bomb on how to make it all happen and it blows my mind.

    filtering!!! wat u think?

What do you mean? As far as I’ve read, filtering signifies concentrating on character perception language. “X felt”. “They saw X.” Compared with alternative phrasings focused on information. “X twisted up his face in pain.” “A bright light lit up the sky.”

    Does this premise sound good?

A place that only rains it an interesting start but I was confused about the rest. Feature the characters who have to deal with this and the change. Someone posted a format for introductions but it tends to be... 1) How things are. 2) Something changes. 3) What now/next?

    filtering!!! wat u think?

This is an excellent example of going from filtering to non filtering - https://www.scribophile.com/academy/an-introduction-to-filtering It makes sense to me. A lot of writers have this issue. I do too. You want to wrap the events around the characters but many things are understood without...

Is this a Scribblehub sister site or a bad clone site?

I see one of mine! The formatting and translation sucks. Just come here, whoever uses that website, and enjoy a much better version.
