I just read the manga of Count of Monte Cristo, and that's basically how you should write revenge stories. MC even has unlimited money and qt slave girl waifu. ? Makes me want to write a slave girl character for my story's harem. But I want a spicy one like her. ?

The novels we got translated are the web novels, not the light novels that usually are the base of the manga. And usually, thanks to the presence of an actual editor, only the light novels have decent enough prose and writing to be readable. For example, one of the series I read have this scene...

Funny how a bunch of the isekai I liked is so much better in manga form, thanks to the artist. If I just read the novel, I wouldn't like them at all.

I actually went to an online fantasy world mapmaker for this that allows me to measure how many kms a person could walk in a day. Same with horses or carriages and even ships. I want to keep my world relatively consistent, and I'm not even writing a kingdom building story, just an adventure...
