When people prefer to confide in AI, is this a sign of a social empathy crisis?

Always has been, we just have enough time and leisure to notice we aren't as social as we think us to be.

If you could bring any anime to real life, which one would you chose?

Digimon. I just want to see if social media survives (mostly evil) cyber ghosts fueled by it.

    Guns in Fantasy

"Your Gun-Fu isn't strong enough." :ROFLMAO: The Powder Mage series by Brian McClellan had an interesting take on guns (ok, flintlocks, before the murricans protest) vs magic.

How much coincidence is too much coincidence?

It's a "pokemon-style" story, just do it tongue-in-cheek and break the 4th wall for a bit and throw a few jabs at the pkmn start. As long as you break the mold shortly after that, it's fine.

How do you rate your own writing?

I've been told my editing skills are "almost godlike", so I'd give myself a 7.5/10 for those, but my writing skills... Let's just say they take a dive whenever I try to write something myself. So maybe a 4 or 5, maybe a 6.9 if I completely nail a chapter.

What is the Lore System in Isekai Power Fantasy Novels?

Unless the author plans to pull a (reverse) Star Ocean 3 final plot twist or some Digimon-esque "all-encompassing cyberspace that is actually a layer of the real world but kinda not" setting, they're just lazy and do it because "system stuff" is popular on the sites they post their stories.

Why does modern military firepower not work against monsters and other BS reasonings.

What about the reason of gravity being different to earth? Guns not shooting because the force behind then not being enough to propel bullets sounds legit. And is underused af. Old stuff would work because the increase would be almost proportional to the power used, i.e. using bows and...

Where do You Source Your Protagonist's Design?

I guess the first option. Options 2 and 3 are pretty much the opposite of what I tend to write, and 4 is a bit too much in your face on the moral propaganda scale, so I tend to avoid it. I like my Protagonists skilled and flawed, so I take my flaws as inspiration and bullshit my way through...

What Race do you dislike More?

Anything that unironically likes Harem Powerfantasy Progress Litrpg Smut or any combination of more than two of those. The female-oriented vampires, tolkien elves, furries... I mean Werewolves. On the Fluffy Tail debate: Kitsune get confused with the Chinese Spirits as well as Nekomata, who...

    Gamers As Writers Bore Me

"Don't destroy my story with your logic and reasoning!" But yeah, most of those lit rpgs or proggo fantasies are a bit bareboned and compensate too much with implied understanding or static numbers that mean nothing when the authors want them to mean nothing.

As a writer, what do you feel your greatest strengths and weaknesses are?

Stronks: I'm fairly eloquent, and if not funny at least between deadpan pun and dad joke territory. I'm also adept enough to avoid worlbuilding mistakes and power creep. Weakness: I pro-crastinate at the highest level, like "goldfish with ADHD" levels of mental interference.
