Fun fact, one of the old names of the city I'm living in, Hanoi, is Tonkin (東京), which in Japanese is read literally as "Tokyo" (東京), again, there is also another "Tokyo" in China as well, as far as I remember.
"Eastern City" doesn't sound very creative, but it works, I guess.
I was just chatting with some friends when I see this pretty cool joke. Basically, everyone in a chatroom changed their display name to "me danh dan", but it can be interpreted in many ways due to tonal language.
After everything that has happened so far... I... don't feel that I can like school anymore.
Normally people that are not that familiar would use the surname to refer to each other, and that is especially true for Japan (and maybe some others, but idk).
In my country though, you will get weird faces if you call anyone with the family name. You probably know why.
