AI says nothing while elongating the prose. That is definitionally purple.

‘Eleanor ate a fish happily.’ Becomes ‘With evident relish, Eleanor savored every flaky bite of the perfectly grilled fish.’ Or ‘Eleanor savored every buttery flake of the sea bass, a contented smile spreading across her face.’ Deepseek & Gemini

Or, ‘With a look of pure glee, Eleanor made quick work of the pan-seared salmon, her fork clicking rhythmically against the china.’ Or, ‘Eleanor gleefully devoured the trout.’ Or, ‘Eleanor purred with delight as she crunched through the silver mackerel.’ Gemini.

A simple passing sentence becomes an extravagant showcase. Every sentence becomes a slog. In short don’t use LLM’s to enhance your writing. If you must use it let it make its suggestions and then decide for yourself what is best.

Feels like a KR manhwa writer.

Where even the most random villain can pull off the lightning-eye.

Or every moment is so melodramatic that no moment stands out.

^No wonder they(kr) stopped caring about the moving(dramatic/sad/wholesome) moments.

If you consider every moment as melodramatic, why should you care about the true ones of the source material ?

> Hence they destroy them by adding half a chapter under it. Or insert a shitty MCU-like joke to destroy it by trying to be snarky. Or add a cliffhanger (like a shadowy villain appearance).

It is why I stopped reading Manhwa. Every story felt the same, where a kid is bullied for being poor. Where the good guys are perfect and the bad guys ugly. Where you can tell what is going to happen in the next few scenes before you read it. Just boring, imo. I read a bunch when I was 17 or so and found Webtoon, but grew out of them fairly quick.

If i counted the number of times, a KR manhwa moodbroke their moving moment (something worth crying over, or something worth putting a smile on your face, bc its a very important scene, and a culmination of an arc/chap)

i would probably already arrived at double digits (10+) and its annoyingly a lot for what shouldnt exist. (a bad decision)

Same.
Each time i see a manhwa cover, its 99% a edgy story about fighting, revenge, time travel, etc.

Fuck. The reason YUREKA was famous globally (i think) (i had the series in paper form where i live but no other kr series) was that it was "original" (mmo + strongest from beginning like OPM)

Pfffft (laugh)
That is so true that is funny. XD
In fact, you can be more honest, by saying you can guess just by the cover. XD

Sometimes there is a twist after a few chapters, but it has been six years or so since I last read one.

My shitty auto-balance luck.

I FIND ONE MASTERPIECE OF a kr series. Called "This is the law".
A chef kiss series that is a fucking drug for any fan of justice or batman.
A KR series not about fighting. Nor a dude being a law job but physically beating others or fighting conspiracies (colleagues) = some manhwas.

LATER artist switched.
And its trash. No mood to read it.

Sometimes there is a twist
The twist being most often : oh wow there is a big plan encompass the world or something.
Some kind of big demon or devil that was the mastermind of everything and that the doom of my noble family was just 1 brick

OR my family has a giga-big secret that they need. Nonono couldnt be the 20+ other families of the empire but MINE (MC) what a coincidence.

Every. Single. Time.

A revenge story author, will try to go big (gambling-term) by adding this giga evil secret plan.
Because he/she knows, that after a revenge is done, the series has no longer any attraction if not directly end.

So yeah.
Compared to 300+ch of MC stomping and revenge,
they can do a 12 volumes of a MC try revenge, find enemy has secret giant evil backer with evil plan -> save the world.

I was thinking more along the line you thought that this was a romance story, but psych there are wizards and shit. But yes, the whole there was no stakes in the first place twists were quite common too. I mean look at the cheat stories of today, or the reincarnated back in time/into a story I know like the back of my hand of the era.

Some of those ornamentation are authors using show don't tell. Or an unsuccesful attempt of one. The sentences become longer because of that. Try not to mistake those for AI 'enhanced' but I'm sure you already know the difference.
ElijahRyne

The difference is easy to tell after a page. Human purple prose reads different to AI enhancement. For one they tend to focus on different things, humans are willing to break grammar rules for added flair, and the word choice for human purple prose tends to be less boring.
