We're not consulted by the way. :blobrofl: :blobrofl: :blobrofl:

I can only laugh it off coz I know it'll be hell for us next year.

How would that work? Does each term get more days?

In theory yes, since this schoolyear has been a 'lesson' to DepEd about the excessive number of suspensions, holidays, and emergencies.

Problem is, switching to a new format while our teaching materials are all geared for the old one is difficult. The new, adjusted curriculum is still being 'rolled out' and it's already obsolete.

instead of having 10 weeks per term you have 14 (or 13)

Yes. Technically, the length of a Philippine SchoolYear won't be affected that much (200-202 days). Just the teaching materials because we're in the middle of a curriculum change.

Basically, we gonna have to 'unlearn' everything we already attended seminars for, and pick up new concepts. With so little time, I dunno how it will be possible with stressing the teacherss.

30 years ago my country did the reverse.

Did they change it slowly? Coz that's our issue. It's way too abrupt.

i believe there were trials before and better notice given.

Believe or not, ours have no trial. They just put out the order a few days ago.

One may ask, "What particular problem is it that you're worried, Hans?"

Well, here's the thing. Flip teachers are always expected to have lessons ALL the time. We cannot be caught without a lesson, and with a trimester, basically one term was removed. So, how will we 'budget' those lessons that had its quarter lost?
