An opening that's a declaration always goes hard. But the parts after that are usually flat.

How mysogynistic?

Hey, yeah, that opening line is a great hook. I don't care about the protagonist, give me more details on this father figure; I wanna see the "how" too. Start a story spotlighting a character as that, there had better be defined moments to illustrate the claim.

It should continue like this:

"He used to be elbow up in pussie. I, on the other hand, have dyslexia, so I never got my doctorate."

And those who don't get it, oh well, too bad.
