The ick is like a sudden blegh from someone you wouldn't expect it from. Like if you go on a date with a nice/normal seeming person and suddenly they're talking about how they never bathe and you're like yeuck.

Unironic valley girl accent gives me the ick and makes me want to stop talking to said person, possibly jump off a bridge... or ask them to.

Paul are you by chance a southerner

I am from North Carolina so yes but some will argue that is too far north. Where I am concerned it has sweet tea and Food Lion so it is southern.

Every time someone says they hate the valley girl accent they turn out to be a southerner in my experience (Texas girly here). But yes sweet tea makes you a certified southerner. Talking about grandmothers’ recipes also seems violently southern LOL

@Wamba2K I remember unknowingly going on a date with this guy who was friends with a lot of people from my high school. Somehow I got talked into going to watch a horror movie with him and two of his friends who were going on a date. Anyways during the movie he kept laying his head against me and saying he’s scared. First of all, isn’t that supposed to be my role??

…now that I think about it, he probably thought it’d be a double date. I didn’t know him at all though. I just wanted new friends. :’)

@pangmida an ick makes you uncomfortable and almost sickly, Pet peeves are like little annoyances, and dislike is just not liking it for any reason.

Also, I was on Tumblr from 2012-2023 so I met a lot of them.

I was lurking on Tumblr for about two years, iirc. The only thing I can remember from that time is Pukichu and the post about his Internet being amazing in the caves.

I've genuinely never once touched Tumblr in my life. I feel like I missed out lol.
