Gripes about plots regarding fighting as well as tournament.

If you have a MC already fought someone in high level, for example Lvl 10, and won. And then in future give him a lower level enemy to fight, Lvl 7 in this case, at least give me a stupid reason why I should think that MC can't just steamroll.
