I mean, I think I understand why electrum is added just like how IRL works.

Coin weight and smaller denominator.

But I think I have a serious gripes with gold coins being 10 times worth than silver coins when actual material price is 100 times.

Make a gilver coin then. 1/11 gold mixed with 10/11 silver.

Edit: I had google AI gave me the answer for ratio and it took me minutes to understand simple quadratic equation.

In D&D they dont care for your real world currency gripes.

We need to know the rarity factor of the metals in the DandD world plus the value imposition imposed on currency value by those in power.

and looking at historical market comparisons its a lot more volatile than gold pricing. Did you know that back in 2011 it was 30 silver to 1 gold for a while.

In D&D electurm is litteraly a naturaly occuring alloy thats half gold half silver so i understand why they priced it as such, but it still wasnt needed.
