I DID forget to go grab groceries yesterday though, so all i have other than some condiments in the house is a bag of chicken breast that are frozen and some chicken fingers...
i really dont feel like fingers and dont feel like thawing anything... so coffee it is!
@Azhurie_Mythephan It’s a Mexican cheese blend from my grocery store: Monterey Jack, cheddar, Asadero, and queso quesadilla. Amazing cheese btw. But tasting pure cheese and butter with nothing else was… not my favorite.
@Azhurie_Mythephan Ahh, I remember how I couldn’t escape those recipes on TikTok. And they always looked so good. Those sandwiches used mozzarella and provolone right? Whichever gave them the cheese pull. I should try making it one day. Although I don’t like sourdough so ill probably use garlic toast :P
Never put mozzarella in that kind of sandwich, because you'll just end up sick. I tried once. Do not make it in a microwave, because the cheese will evaporate, and the bread will burn. 2 slices of bread, butter one side of each. 2 slices of American cheese.
Light your stove with a pan on top. Do not turn it to high, lest you burn your house down. Retrieve flipper spatula. Place one slice of bread inside the pan, butter side down. The butter should sizzle. Place the cheese slices on top of the bread. Rotate the second slice by 45 degrees. Place the other bread slice on top, butter side up.
Flip the sandwich when you feel that it is ready. I usually lift it up with the flipper spatula so that I can check. If you see burnt black bread and smell burning, it is burnt. Flip the sandwich. Hopefully the cheese has melted. Let the other side of the sandwich cook, and then remove from the pan, and turn off the burner.
