With a lot of those Manga, I find that either A, the MC was kicked out because someone else was incompetent, or B, MC is actually incompetent and is kicked out only to unlock true potential. One creates a potential revenge trope, the other is often a poorly disguised narcissistic spite plot.

revenge is just there sometimes. The hero is most of the time a moron, or along the heros party there are some others too. But then theres the love interest that suddenly starts caring when mc leaves the party
