It makes her completely untouchable, and releases a power that breaks allies and enemies alike. Even with the gear meat to suppress that power, it couldn’t suppress it.

It was a power Reimu hid, because her role is to maintain equality. In Danmaku battles, it crushes morale between allies and enemies alike when they realize they have 0 chance of winning.

Hence, how it get made into a spellcard. A way to use that power for a moment, without making it hopeless for others to win.

Though, it does imply. If that power is ever used on Gensokyo unrestrained, it can spell its end.

That power was what isolated her from others. As she does not rely on faith, it something like a power of a god, but without needing faith it appears.

When they were critically surrounded by the moon peeps. Reimu was pressured into using that ability, and crushed all of their morale.

Including her own allies, except for Marisa. Who came up with the idea she should make it into a spellcard.

Natural Fantasy.

A spellcard that can only be used with her true power. So, for a moment. It crushes opponents, but it does not take away all hope of winning.

Thus, she can maintain her role without secluding her power as much.

I’ve got no clue what any of this means but it sure is interesting-nyah.

Gensokyo has multiple points.

On one end, it looked to have been created for Yuyuko. Which later on expanded to accept those who are forgotten into its fantasy.

Youkai and others clashed bloodily in the past. Hence eventually, the spellcard rules.

Through Danmaku battles, they are given a chance to win. And it is non lethal. Which helped to maintain balance.

However, Reimu’s power to pass into fantasy makes her invincible. If used, it can completely demoralized allies and enemies alike.

Which can cause a complete collapse of Gensokyo.

It is why she hid that power, unless it was absolutely needed such as that moment they were completely overwhelmed.

Before, she passively released it in certain instances to resolve incidents, but nothing that took away their chance.

A shrine maiden is supposed to maintain Gensokyo, and rely on faith. Reimu barely gets any faith, so much of her success in incident comes from that true power.

That power is essentially the power of a god she was born with it looks like. Without needing faith to make use of it.

Wasn't that power based on her not trying to use it or are you talking about a different one?

According to Fantasy Maiden Wars. It appears to have two angles to it.

One Reimu appears to passively use it. However, she is aware of the existence of it, and suppresses the majority of it.

It is a power Yukari doesn’t want her to use. However, when it was given a name. It fell within the spellcard rules.

However, it wasn’t something she could fully control. As when she did released it, it crippled the enemies, and put her friends in danger as well as heavily hit their morale on top of the enemies.

The concept is that a Shrine Maiden has the potential to become a god themselves. Which was mentioned back in Part 2.

If I remember right as well, when in that state. For weaker ones like fairies and whatnot, she hands the win to them if they could manage to touch her at least.

And given that one turn is about 1 minute. The form lasts for about 3 minutes, giving others a chance to win, rather than no chance at all.
