Third and final, outside of a comedy, what is even the point of a fight scene that doesn’t significantly effect any part of your story? There is very little point in my opinion, if we know that after the MC fights, and maybe even kills, minor antagonist #704 nothing will change for the protagonist. It is just wasted space on a page and wasted time read.
Second, a fight scene where we know who is going to win is pointless unless it contains some form of specific irony and/or tragedy, even then you can only do that so much in a story.
Here are a few hot takes, lets start with the colder one. Fight scenes in books/written stories are usually just nigh meaningless word salad that describes something that might look cool if you were not reading a book. Therefore it is best, even if you can write a good fight scene, to avoid unnecessary fight scenes.
Would you read and/or interact with an interactive mystery story here on SH? With the goal being similar to Clue: to find the killer(s) and their accomplice(s), to find out how they killed the victim, and to find out the killer(s) motive?
For some unknown to me reason, I bought a 2 liter bottle of a Dr. Pepper knock off when exhausted and more than a mile away from my dorm. I exhausted myself further by carrying it without a bag all the way there. I drank 1 5th of it and had to get rid of the rest. It was the first soda I drank since last November, and by god did it mess up my gut.
