Httyd3 sucking doesn't bother me as much, cars 3 I hate more because it had such an excellent premise and opening but fumbled it

Can you remind me of the plot of the third movies?

I thought Cars 3 was ok-ish, but hated Httyd 3

Httyd 3 I cant even remember it bored me so bad, cars 3 was about lightning McQueen training to beat the newer, better racers but eventually quitting to let his teacher person win
