Why? :sweating_profusely: :sweating_profusely: :sweating_profusely: :sweating_profusely:

(is writing one with economic reforms)

I just read this manga and the solution is just to make specialty goods that no other countries have using modern knowledge. Every other fucking isekai uses that.

And by that, I mean shit like coffee (which already existed in the middle ages by the way) and porcelain.

Ah, the 'modernity is the solution' sickness of almost every isekai story out there...pretty much like the 'cheat skill shall solve everything' type.

It's what I'm trying to avoid with mine, though my MC applies modern concepts like diversifying trade items, etc.

If I ever write a plot like that, the focus should be more on the economics itself and not the goods. Promote free trade and globalism. Basically do what modern capitalism does.

Well, you know how most isekais are written...that's why our works suffer the same fate and notoriety.

Though I don't think the readers care to be honest. They just want their MCs to be smart. Just look at that one villainess story where the comments are all worshipping the MC (I can't be bothered to remember the name).

A lot of readers out there are just reading for relaxation, and not to actually learn something. It's really a gem when an author takes the trouble of writing his/her concepts properly so that his/her story would be believable and logical.

And, also, another sickness of most isekais is the 'Butterfly effect'. As in, like, there's no consequences for the MC's actions unless it's in the main focus of the story.
