Need to figure out a story to write.

So, how long till I can post something on the forums? I'm still new to this place.

Wanting to know how many edits should your novel go through before posting? I get this site is for people who are amateur hobby writers who may or may not want to publish in the future, but I am curious to know. Anybody know?
