If I lost focus and tried monetizing my content, it's because I got worried of my family's finances, brought forth by our sperm donor's (aka father) adulterous pursuits.

Getting slammed by the truth brought me back to my senses that I write for myself and my enjoyment.

Well, nothing much. I'm content as I am right now, writing my next story.

Like, no holds barred. Harem? Yeah, I got that. Power fantasy? Yep, but of course, I toned it down because I still love my characters earn their keep.

So yes, @RepresentingWrath 's advice in being true to yourself is good. I removed everything that hinders me from writing what I want, and accepted my genre as it is. Now, I write freely. Not the popular stuff, but I like what I wrote.

Removed everything, as in, I stopped looking in this forum for someone else's opinion on my genre. Also stopped listening to peeps who trash my genre. And the best of all, accept my limits and my mistakes.
