Like, no holds barred. Harem? Yeah, I got that. Power fantasy? Yep, but of course, I toned it down because I still love my characters earn their keep.

So yes, @RepresentingWrath 's advice in being true to yourself is good. I removed everything that hinders me from writing what I want, and accepted my genre as it is. Now, I write freely. Not the popular stuff, but I like what I wrote.

Removed everything, as in, I stopped looking in this forum for someone else's opinion on my genre. Also stopped listening to peeps who trash my genre. And the best of all, accept my limits and my mistakes.
