Talked with my brother about that locked room, his solution was that the detective was the person in the locked room, and that the detective/narrator is unreliable. I think that also fits, but I think the thermite solution is a closer fit. However my brother’s guess does fit with the fact that the ‘detective’ had to relinquish their authority, to set a perfect seal in the room. Hard to explain without spoilers.
Trying to come up with a solution to the ch 6 locked room puzzle. Don’t know if this will be the solution, but the only possible way for the person in question to escape the room is through the pipes in the bathroom. My theory is that the person was lit ablaze with a thermite reaction, and washed away with the shower that was shown to be on. Probably wrong, it took a few eyebrow raising searches, but this works, no…? -
