Uhm, hobby? I mean I just wanna learn for fun I guess. And, if it ever helps me in the long run, then that's even better.

Start small, find someone who speaks Russian and try to get them to talk with you. Get them to explain the rules and pronunciation of different letters.

My advice would be to not jump the gun and start reading books in my language. The language changed a lot since then so it can cause confusion.

Sure. I would say buy or download a textbook for beginner and start from there, but I don't know if it will help you. I know it helps me, but we are different people.

@Assurbanipal_II Is that so? I often wonder why alcohol is prohibited in so many religions. I mean is it really that bad for health? Then, why do people drink it so often?(I'm talking about drunkards).

Is it? Christianity did not, but that was admittedly due to the fact that the Greco Romans were passionate wine drinkers (and still are) and they would have found it hard to forego.

Don't know about Far Eastern religions.
