I seriously recommend playing the Higurashi VN’s, make sure it is the one with voice acting. Watching a playthrough of them is also good enough. If by the end of the first chapter you are not hooked, then so be it. Currently watching a playthrough of the third CH of Umineko. Which is the series after Higurashi.

I know I only finished 2 chapters of Umineko, but by the end of the 2nd chapter of Higurashi I was way more hooked than I currently am with Umineko. Granted the first two chapters of Umineko don’t have the pacing problems in the first 2 chapters of Higurashi, but the highs and lows of Higurashi feel way more memorable rn imo.
Just binge read/watched that playthrough of Umineko’s second chapter. My eyes are tired, don’t think I can read much more today…
Another recommendation, will probably keep recommending music until I grow bored or my profile page starts lagging on my end.
