What's wrong with what you currently write? Also, there's nothing wrong with writing multiple stories. I'm the type of writer who does that often. And they're still being updated, so I've not given up on them.

I did a lot of things I regret with it. The entire first 7 chapters or so is kind *cringes*.
I could do better. Probably. Maybe... dunno?
Either way, Ive more or less created a thing that resonates with approximately 1/756 readers and the rest just throw it in the trash!

I suppose it also stems from wanting a bit of success. My initial run on RoyalRoad went... I am practically invisible there now.
Im doing okay here. I think four people have read my story. They mostly liked it since I have a few five star ratings and a four star.
But, I always wanted to write something that a lot of people would enjoy. A half dozen readers is nice, but I dream big.
