Maybe... but I like the mechanics of DnD being as simple as they are. I feel it helps put roleplay above mechanics... but also I would learn the system if prompted with an opportunity.
Kineticist seems like a really cool class, I don't love casters but they look appealing.

There's a lot of good guides for the classes, if you ever do, take a look at them.

Also, I like pathbuilder. The phone app for making characters.

One of the running jokes for my PF2 group is "how many characters have you made since we last played". 2 of them are so in to character building that the answer is usually in the 5 - 10 range.
