Reaction farming is pointless. No one cares who has the most social credit on a random forums site.

The key lies in engaging in normal conversation.

Post stupid messages to make people laugh, not to chase after a number that means nothing.

I mean, they matter up to a point if you want access to some features in the forum.
But I can't remember if there was any that came from 1k messages or not.
I know you unlock banners at 150, though.
