Probably an unpopular take, but democracy is shit.
People are not made equal, and their opinion are not equal.
Not saying monarchy, capitalism, or communism is better, but democracy is definitely shit.

Most people shouldn't be voting. It's universal sufferage that's the problem.

Here's my take: we live in an imperfect world. We say Democracy is worst coz we see its inherent weakness. Likewise, peeps from 19th century would say "Autocracy is worst! We are subject to whims of one man."

End point: There's a duration for governments. We as people should always look out for ways to adapt.

One day people will look back and say "Democracy is the worst! We are subject to the whims of the people around us!"

In my dogshit opinion, there should be better ways of government compared to democracy.
Am not an expert, but there must be some ways to incorporate the best form of capitalism, democracy, autocracy, etc.

But then again, it should only work in an ideal world. The real world is far from ideal.

Yes, some sort of mixed government with checks and balances or something.
