If a teacher like yourself think this way.

The seminar is about info dissemination and flow, which is, really, not in my line of interest.

I really hate talking to adults, especially parents. Lotsa unreasonable demands and requests that sometimes is outside my duties.

Opf.

Good luck with that.

No really.

Good luck with that.

I just want to be left alone in my corner of the computer laboratory, coding systems that automate grading forms.

Or drawing stuff. Oe writing chapters.

Ah hahaha.

Like that will ever happen.

Delegation of work will always be shoved. Aggressively I might add.

@NotaNuffian tis difficult to deal with parents who think they are entitled to something in your school.

Like, even in my days off, they would call me, demanding various bullshit.

Philippine workplace is wired to shove EVERYTHING to workers who actually work/work efficiently.

The fuk?

At this point I would tell you to not be the nail that stuck out and go with the slacker flow.

But... it will suck, feeling that everything sucks and not worth as it saps your energy out worse.

Yeah I'm trying to be a slacker employee. Just that, in my quest to make my work life easy, I end up biting more than I can chew.

For example, I developed a system that automates lots of school forms. Co-teacher from same department sees and asks about it. I share with condition not to share it.

Gets shared anyway coz "it's for the prestige of our department" bs

Now I can't take back the unintended reputation I made of being "that teacher that can do lotsa coding and shit" coz they always shove everything to me knowing I can barely refuse coz it's part of my duties when I signed my employment papers.

That "school paperwork and other auxilliaries" part of the employment is really vague and tends to be abused.
