The sole thing i think of, when i see it, is : 'Oh god another one doing it. Again this catchphrase that they pulled out from WHO-KNOWS-WHERE popular TV shows or something'

It is also because most CN web authors don’t have enough time to plot out their stories in detail if they didn’t do so before writing. This is now a job where you are chewed expected to put out x amount of words and attract x amount of people for x amount of profit, and spit out if you fail. You have little time to plan as you go, especially if this is a significant amount of your income.

So now you rely on what is popular, to get views. What has worked before for others to get your story. And memes/slop to pad out words when that isn’t enough. You are no longer writing to share a story, but writing as a job.

Btw, speaking of this topic, i need help.
Bc i kinda forgot the "normal way" how a character should threaten/do it......
As all "modern" CN authors began to pull it off, now i cant even remember the old normal way to say it. (its like forgetting the word "butt" bc too many "gyatt")

Recently, the phrase so BLOODY commonly being seen is "one who does not fear the death of thousand cuts will dare to unhorse the emperor" or its OG 捨得一身剮，敢把皇帝拉下馬.

The phrase is simple, one with nothing to lose fears no authority.

I had seen phrases such as bare feet fears not the one with shoes etc etc and all of a sudden the unhorse thing becomes so damn common.

Or the shitty "Not arrogant nor humble" bs

Gosh, the number of times i saw this sentence is pissing me off.
At first first it was cool. I mean, you act normal in front of emperor. But now? I bet even breathing would be done not arrogant nor humble.

ALSO now i debunked this logic : Being not arrogant or humble = disrespect to the emperor = illogical

Its like a farmer not kneeling and acting normally in front of emperor.

Despite baddies, probably raped dozens of people (wives, mothers, daughters), killed hundred, tortured a bunch, caused indirect deaths of thousands.
Never saw a MC do a linchi lately and ITS frustrating.

I mean. SURE its so the plot dont deviate too much on the bad guys and return to the main focus.
SURE its so it doesnt bring a guro/dark vibes to the happy-mood series.
AND SUUUUUUURE maybe moderation also stop that.


But goddamn im tired that this abominations, get a clean death.
Also at extreme minimun, it doesnt cost a lot to write "Kill him" > "Kill him by linchi"
Its just 2 damn more words.
