It was supposed to be long time coming but all I can feel is lame.

MC can use decay like nobody's business and it makes fights stupid.

1st time he and villain fought, MC was still a low level but villain can tell that he is a threat by hunch, so he tried to kill/ cripple him on the spot.

MC getting power ups willy nilly for no good reason.
This is a cultivation novel, yes?

Second time was when MC became the chosen one when villain wants to be but failed. So villain took MC teacher as hostage.

Third time... which is now and it is lame.

@Star-Knight yes.

Even though no golden core or BS.

Still considered even though it is under xuanhuan instead of xianxia.

So why are you surprised by random powerups with minimal effort? That's what these stories are built on.

How is it lame the third time?

Surprised? A bit. Perhaps I am still looking for how Condor Heroes, the beginning and the return, does it.

Slow, steady and most importantly, believable.

For the record, Tales of Herding Gods had elements of cultivation, but all powerups are explained and built upon.

How is it lame this third time?

For the record, I liked how the villain also got a glow up and can fight equally with MC, at least until MC use anti-God nets and his Decay to kill him.

The fight had been perked up for quite awhile and will end in the death of villain and saving his teacher.

It is lame with how the actions are.

For the record, villain gain the power of a Rock God and also the dying will of an elder beast.

My impression was that MC and villain will have fight of the daos. Magic flying etc.

Instead all I got was villain mostly doing dodges and leaps and simple punches and kicks

It is like villain got into cockpit of a Gundam and instead of using the beam rifle and saber, villain use fists.

*shake head*

And the only cool part about spidey sense? Villain got completely washed when MC pulls out the net.

It felt like I was sold a good show and came out a mediocre one.

If your opponent can instantly kill you by a touch (judging by the name 'decay'), wouldn't you use an evasive fighting style when confronting him?

Technically this is also mainly dodging.

Then again I wouldn't call DBS well written so I don't know what my point is here.

Had to rebutt a bit.

MC never used his decay up until the end of fight
SirContro

Well yeah, villain was dodging him.

Also, wait a minute is this a comic or just an actual novel? "Fighter B dodged again" must be really lame in text.

True.

He had to get the hostage safe first before he can fully Decay the guy.
