Philippine educational system forces students to cross-dress so they can "appreciate all genders." I believe this is counterproductive; just pure virtue-signaling. If we are talking of gender respect and appreciation, a simple but effective way of doing it is to just teach how to respect and 'work with' all personalities, finding common ground instead of dividing everyone through cultural and sexual lines.

won't the parents complain?

I know some parents complaining with the system, but they mostly go silent because of fear of being labeled as a bigot. Which proves my point that such activities are counterproductive; they only serve to alienate more people instead of convincing them that gender diversity is 'good.'

I'm actually happy my students asked me that; I can teach them how to respect genders based on common sense, rather than forced idealism and fear of getting cancelled.

Wait Really?

Yes. Imma be honest; but tis a weak effort to actually make students understand why we should live in harmony with everyone. Hence, I only see it as virtue signaling, or a teacher's attempt to reach their lesson plan goals.
